This includes a pre-arranged meeting time at the client’s accommodation or the Fishery. Timing is critical as fishing will take place on the incoming tide and may involve moving to various ‘marks’ on the estuary. Fishing is therefore limited to what time of day the tide is ‘flooding’ and the particular height of the tide – the higher the better.
We guide at a maximum of 2 Anglers per Guide, and because fishing will be limited by the ‘flooding’ tides and their size, we charge at an hourly rate for guiding of £10.00 per hour per Angler.
We can provide tackle and accessories, but again strongly advise our clients to bring their own where it is suitable.
Basic requirements are:
- Fly rods 9’ to 10’6” AFTM 7/8/9 or light spinning rod and reel
- Floating, intermediate, sink tip and sinking lines
- Chest waders and life jacket
- Leader material 10lbs to 18lbs
- Fly patterns vary from fish imitators to shrimp patterns – we have our favourites and can supply flies if required, spinners and lures
- Sunglasses, headwear and waterproofs
Please remember to wash all tackle in cold water after bass fishing to prevent corrosion.
